ABOUT THE PANEL:
Shane Grant
Shane has helped clients of all sizes with tax issues including compliance matters, sales and use tax, multiple state filings, as well as IRS and state audits.
Shane’s knowledge lies in accounting and taxation of real estate transactions of all sorts (home builders, contractors, real estate leasing, etc.), tax planning strategies, and the ongoing application of the Affordable Care Act. He also has extensive experience in the manufacturing and retail industry.
Spencer Strickland
In 2016, Spencer joined BDO, bringing more than a decade of public accounting experience. Spencer’s experience includes time at a Big Four public accounting firm as well as a smaller local firm. Spencer has worked with clients ranging from start up’s to larger international publicly-traded entities.
Spencer has a wide range of experience in tax. He has performed tax and advisory services in international taxation, corporate structuring, accounting for income taxes under ASC 740, IRS controversy and many other areas.
Spencer has been involved in providing seminars to clients, speaking at the Westminster Tax Institute and the USU tax school, and is co-published in the UACPA “The Journal Entry.”
Spencer has significant experience providing tax compliance and consulting to clients ranging in size from family-owned business to multi-national corporations giving him a broad depth of experience in various tax industries. He works with Insurance Companies, Dealerships, Multi-Level Marketing or Direct Sales Companies, Bio-Tech and Software Companies. Additionally, he has experience in a variety of other industries: manufacturing, retail, equipment leasing, and wholesale distribution.
Jason Hunter
Jason has been in public accounting since 2007.
He has experience preparing and reviewing federal and state tax returns for corporations, partnerships, individuals and trusts, and S corporations. He works with clients to prepare for IRS examinations and settle tax controversy matters.
He provides tax advice to high net worth individuals, as well as private clients, and nonprofits.
Jason works extensively with pass-through entities and their owners. Specifically in the Real Estate, Construction, and Restaurant industries as well as working with professionals in the medical, financial, and legal fields.
Todd Gordon
Todd has almost 20 years of public accounting experience encompassing audit and assurance services. Prior to joining BDO in 2014, Todd spent many years with a Big Four Accounting Firm and with another large National Accounting Firm in Salt Lake City, Seattle, and Silicon Valley. He has been the lead director/senior manager in conducting the audits of many privately held, multi-national, and publicly traded companies.
Todd has been heavily involved with companies backed by venture capital and private equity and has helped clients through the processes of mergers and acquisitions, public offerings, and raising millions of dollars of investment funding. Todd has also served as a trainer for a National Accounting Firm, training staff in how to conduct audits and perform accounting work in an efficient and effective manner.

If you are driving, please park in the west side of the parking lot at the Chamber building. When you arrive, proceed to the left/west (monthly and validated parking) area and take a ticket and pass through the yellow parking gate. We?ll provide validations upstairs at the front desk.
Please do not enter on the right/east side and park in the two rows closest to the building or you will have to pay in advance and we will not be able to validate your parking.
